Site Reliability Engineer II

About the role

Mimecast is looking for a hands‑on Site Reliability Engineer II to join its Human Risk Platform pillar. You will help design, provision, and operate the cloud foundation that powers our security services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and fast delivery of new features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve AWS infrastructure using Terraform with reusable modules and best‑practice patterns.
• Manage Kubernetes‑based workloads, including deployments, scaling, networking, and platform maintenance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) to provide safe, auditable paths from code commit to production.
• Implement observability solutions—logs, metrics, and traces—to make the platform debuggable and trustworthy.
• Perform capacity planning, basic performance triage, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable self‑service infrastructure access and promote automation.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience provisioning cloud infrastructure and debugging distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Ability to work across greenfield projects, tooling improvements, and incident response.
• Commitment to building repeatable, self‑service patterns for engineering teams.
