Site Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a Site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Engineer to join Moog’s Space and Defense Group in Chatsworth, CA. The engineer will lead the implementation and integration of EHS programs across the manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and protecting employee safety.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update site EHS programs and management systems.
- Deliver required EHS training and modify training content for regulatory compliance.
- Collect, interpret and report chemical hazard and risk data.
- Conduct EHS gap assessments, prioritize findings and drive corrective actions.
- Lead root‑cause investigations for incidents and near‑misses.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed EHS practices into daily operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence at all organization levels.
- Willingness to work onsite in Chatsworth, CA.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Training authoring tools such as Articulate.
- Experience creating and delivering EHS training programs.
- Proficiency in performing risk assessments and root‑cause analysis.
