Shop Mechanic – Equipment Repair & Maintenance

About the role

A-Core Concrete Specialists is looking for a reliable Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of shop equipment. You will work in a fast‑growing construction environment, ensuring that tools and machinery are safe, functional, and ready for daily use.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic and electric saws, drills, power units, generators, and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Complete service records, order parts, and manage inventory to minimize downtime.
• Enter maintenance data into the ManagerPlus tracking system and follow up on reminders.
• Adhere to OSHA and shop safety guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Pass a required drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Possess personal tools or be able to acquire them.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be organized, self‑motivated, punctual, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in handling electric tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform data entry on a PC or tablet.
• Familiarity with the ManagerPlus maintenance tracking software.
