Shipyard Technical Manager

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Shipyard Technical Manager to lead technical execution and operational integration of production and engineering activities at its Franklin shipyard. The role ensures vessel construction is technically sound, production‑ready, and aligned with quality, schedule, and safety objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, train, and motivate production and manufacturing engineering teams, handling hiring, performance reviews, and development.
• Oversee engineering deliverables such as work packages, installation planning, and technical issue resolution to support efficient vessel construction.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives for production flow, scheduling, build sequencing, and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with build engineering leadership to align structural assembly, systems integration, and product design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, shipyard procedures, regulatory requirements, and maritime industry specifications.
• Collaborate with the EHS team to enforce safety protocols and adhere to Saronic EHS guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in production or manufacturing engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of shipyard operations, vessel construction processes, and industrial engineering principles.
• Ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration and manage multiple engineering disciplines.
