Shipyard Industrial Engineer

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to design and validate the physical manufacturing system of its shipyard. You will create efficient layouts, define space requirements, and build capacity models that support our automation‑first strategy for autonomous maritime platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy.
• Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizes and crane coverage.
• Calculate square‑footage needs for panel fabrication, sub‑assembly, block assembly and pre‑outfitting.
• Build capacity and throughput models to ensure optimal material flow.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and finance to align layouts with automation goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design.
• Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing and greenfield facility design is preferred.
