Shipyard Industrial Engineer

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the physical manufacturing system of its shipyard. The role focuses on creating efficient layouts, process flows, and capacity models that support automation‑first production across all shipyard functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy.
• Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage.
• Establish square‑footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub‑assembly, block assembly, and pre‑outfitting.
• Create capacity and throughput models to ensure optimal material flow.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align layouts with automation goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design.
• Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing and greenfield facility design.
