Shift Manager – Lead Restaurant Team

About the role

The Shift Manager leads the restaurant team during assigned shifts, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, and safety. This fast‑paced role requires taking ownership of customer satisfaction and supporting the General Manager in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Manager‑in‑Charge (MIC) Success Routine and prioritize guest needs.
• Oversee team members’ completion of Shift Excellence tasks and maintain a clean, neat environment.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly while maintaining positive relations.
• Assist the GM with profit & loss management, cash control, inventory, and labor scheduling.
• Ensure food safety, quality, proper product preparation, rotation, and holding times.
• Participate in hiring, training, and providing performance feedback to team members.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of restaurant or retail experience; shift‑lead experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 45 lb and maintain attendance and punctuality.

Required skills

• Basic cash register operation and cash handling.
• Fundamental math skills for making change and handling transactions.
