Shift Leader

About the role

As a Shift Leader at Insomnia Cookies, you will oversee the bakery’s day or night operations, ensuring smooth service and high‑quality products for our customers. You will lead a team of Cookie Crew members, manage the flow of business, and create a fun, productive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain product quality throughout each shift.
• Support store leadership by monitoring production efficiency, communicating important information, and upholding company standards.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while supervising the team.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safe food‑handling practices.
• Handle cash transactions, deposits, and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑service‑focused role.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, patient, and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States and 18 years or older.

Required skills

• Point of Sale (POS) systems experience.
