Service Technician – The Fitzgerald

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role involves hands‑on technical and mechanical work to support resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant apartments: conduct pre‑move‑out inspections, create punch lists, coordinate vendors, procure supplies, perform repairs, and conduct final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory tracking.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors and schedule maintenance work.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and safety across the property.
