Service Technician – The Colony

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of its residential community in The Colony. The role involves performing technical and mechanical tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Technical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing building systems.
• Ability to follow established safety and procedural guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventory and documentation.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a residential property environment.
