Service Technician – Student Housing Maintenance

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Limestone Park student housing – including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attending routine safety meetings and following required procedures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical or physical issues and perform repairs independently.
• Organized approach to handling multiple work orders, inventory tracking, and documentation.
• Willingness to work onsite in a student‑living environment and collaborate with vendors and contractors.
