Service Technician – Reflections on 92nd

About the role

The Service Technician will ensure that the physical components of the property – buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Working on‑site, you will respond to resident requests, perform preventative maintenance and prepare vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established safety, risk‑management and procedural guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory tracking.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and contractors to complete maintenance tasks.
