Service Technician (Prospect)

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that all physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and overall functionality. This onsite role involves hands‑on technical and mechanical work to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.
