Service Technician (Property Maintenance)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of its Westbury property. The role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance, preparing vacant units for new residents, and ensuring all common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with building‑maintenance tasks and a solid understanding of safety and risk‑management practices.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple work orders, and follow detailed procedures.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and the maintenance team.
