Service Technician (Lease Up)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to support lease‑up activities at the Broadstone Creekside property. The role focuses on maintaining building systems, preparing vacant units for new residents, and ensuring common areas meet the company’s standards for safety and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work to maintain building, grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Capability to manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, coordinating inspections, repairs, and vendor activities.
• Proficiency in tracking inventory, handling supplies, and completing accurate documentation.
• Willingness to assist with general cleaning, pressure‑washing, and minor painting tasks.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures and risk‑management policies.
