Service Technician – Cascades at Southern Hills

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Cascades at Southern Hills community—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects from resident work orders, adhering to safety standards, policies, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and comply with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality control.
• Willingness to work onsite in a property maintenance environment.
• Good organizational skills for inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
