Service Technician (Avana Gilbert Community)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of its Avana Gilbert community. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures and safety policies.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to perform a variety of manual tasks, including cleaning, painting, and pressure‑washing.
• Commitment to cost‑effective maintenance practices.
