Service Supervisor

About the role

The Service Supervisor ensures that the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Reporting to the Community Manager, this role combines hands‑on maintenance work with oversight of vendors and service staff.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling contractors, procuring supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and uphold standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Conduct periodic inspections of work performed by service team members, contractors and vendors, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating orders with the Community Manager while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative‑maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.
• Support the Community Manager with additional maintenance and operational duties.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical defects and perform repairs safely.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors and internal service staff.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections and quality control.
• Capability to manage inventory and follow budgetary procedures.
• Commitment to uphold Greystar’s standards for cleanliness and safety.
