Server – Food & Beverage Service

About the role

The Server will join the Food and Beverage Service Department at Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, delivering an exceptional dining experience for members and guests. This position requires strong customer service, thorough menu knowledge, and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, high‑end club environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to requests.
• Present detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials, and make recommendations based on preferences or allergies.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system, issue checks, and close sales according to policy.
• Verify food orders for completeness and accuracy before delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in all work areas.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including inventory counts and equipment checks.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the Restaurant Manager promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of serving experience in a full‑service, high‑end restaurant, club, or resort.
• Knowledge of local food safety standards; ability to obtain a State Food Safety Certificate.
• Robust knowledge of wines, cocktails, beer, and beverage pairing.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
