SEO/GEO Manager

About the role

Harper is rebuilding commercial insurance as software, and needs a leader to make its expertise discoverable online. As the SEO/GEO Manager you will own the company’s visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI‑driven discovery platforms, turning small‑business insurance queries into traffic and leads.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end search strategy, from keyword research and content planning to technical optimization and authority building.
• Drive organic visibility by increasing rankings for high‑intent commercial insurance queries across the funnel.
• Lead GEO development by researching and executing tactics for AI‑generated answer platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE.
• Partner with the content team to create and optimize pieces that rank, earn links, and answer real business‑owner questions.
• Manage technical SEO, auditing site health, implementing structured data, and improving crawlability and performance with engineering.
• Build measurement frameworks, track traffic, rankings, and conversions, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Seasoned SEO strategist who stays ahead of rapid changes in the search landscape.
• Strong analytical and creative abilities; can interpret crawl reports and craft content briefs quickly.
• Proven experience delivering measurable ranking gains for high‑intent keywords.
• Collaborative mindset, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with content and growth teams.
