SEO Strategist III – Generative Engine Optimization

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEO / Generative Engine Optimization Specialist to lead organic visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI‑driven discovery platforms. The role is hybrid, based in Culver City or Cupertino, CA, and will collaborate closely with marketing, engineering, product and strategy teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies aligned with business growth.
• Define technical SEO requirements and translate them into actionable engineering tickets.
• Partner with engineering, product and project management to implement SEO initiatives.
• Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports using data‑driven insights.
• Conduct technical SEO audits to uncover crawlability, site‑structure, metadata and page‑speed opportunities.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Support visibility across both traditional search and AI‑driven discovery platforms.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of SEO experience supporting enterprise‑level brands or large‑scale websites.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, comfortable working with Excel, Numbers and data‑modeling tools.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
• Technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, sitemaps and structured data (schema markup).
• Experience improving page load performance, crawl budget optimization and implementing structured metadata.
• Programming experience in Python or JavaScript.
