SEO Lead

About the role

Inkitt is seeking an SEO Lead to shape and execute the company‑wide search strategy across its publishing platforms, including Inkitt, Galatea, and Candy Jar. The role will combine technical expertise, content insight, and data‑driven decision‑making to accelerate organic growth in a fast‑moving, AI‑focused entertainment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the SEO vision, aligning technical, content, and off‑page tactics across all Inkitt properties.
• Perform comprehensive technical audits, improve crawl efficiency, indexing, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, and manage structured data and sitemap health.
• Build scalable keyword frameworks, identify high‑impact topics, and guide content teams to capture search intent.
• Optimize metadata, headings, alt text, schema markup, and internal linking for key landing pages and story collections.
• Set up and maintain SEO dashboards, define KPIs, and report performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and other tools.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design to embed SEO best practices and launch high‑impact experiments.
• Lead content freshness, authority building, and outreach initiatives to strengthen domain strength.
• Benchmark against competitors, uncover whitespace opportunities, and continuously test structural and copy changes.

Required profile

• 6‑8+ years of SEO experience delivering measurable growth for high‑traffic consumer or content brands.
• Proven ability to partner with product and engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and implement SEO improvements.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of using data to drive decisions and measure impact.
• Experience in high‑growth or startup environments is preferred.
• Execution‑oriented, detail‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, experimental culture.
