Sentinel Radar Maintainer (Djibouti Assignment)

About the role

Raytheon is seeking a Sentinel Radar Maintainer to support the Sentinel® air‑defense radar fleet deployed at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The position is part of a small field team that works closely with the U.S. Army to ensure continuous radar operation in a high‑tempo, unaccompanied environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular Sentinel maintenance and Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) following Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).
• Conduct first‑ and second‑level diagnostics, fault isolation, alignment, calibration, and repair verification of radar components.
• Share radar system operation, emplacement, and march order responsibilities with the U.S. Army.
• Coordinate 400 Hz generator and FMTV vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and accurate records for RTX spares and test equipment to support 24/7 operations.
• Collaborate with Sentinel management, subject‑matter experts, and team members, providing guidance as needed.
• Utilize hand tools (wrenches, allen sets, grease gun) and test equipment (oscilloscope, power meter, multimeter) for troubleshooting and repairs.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with an active, transferable DoD Secret clearance on day 1.
• Ability to meet all deployment requirements, including physical fitness for AFRICOM and US Army CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) processes.
• Willingness to serve on an unaccompanied assignment in Djibouti.
