Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations (Remote)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations to lead a growing multi‑site pharmacy network. This remote position (with ~25% national travel) will shape strategy, build scalable processes, and ensure an exceptional patient experience while driving cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy operations across all sites, ensuring consistent execution, compliance, and service quality.
• Design and implement scalable workflows, staffing models, policies, procedures, KPIs, and operating standards.
• Improve cost per fill through labor optimization, vendor negotiations, process improvements, and volume growth.
• Reduce executive escalations by establishing clear decision rights, root‑cause analysis, and accountability mechanisms.
• Elevate patient/client experience with faster fills, reliable service, and consistent interactions.
• Partner with commercial, clinical, finance, technology, and executive leaders to align operations with growth objectives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience in multi‑site environments.
• Background in health‑system retail, outpatient, ambulatory, community, or mixed pharmacy settings.
• Proven ability to standardize workflows, staffing models, KPIs, and performance expectations.
• Strong financial acumen covering cost per fill, labor management, reimbursement, and P&L impact.
• Registered Pharmacist (PharmD preferred) and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, execution‑focused environment.
