Senior Transaction Counsel

About the role

JinkoSolar is a global leader in solar modules and energy storage solutions. The Senior Transaction Counsel will focus on the company’s solar module business, handling complex domestic and international transactions and providing strategic legal guidance to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and amend a wide range of commercial agreements, including solar module sales, marketing, confidentiality, labor, and IP license agreements.
• Advise U.S. and global senior management on legal implications of business strategies, manage legal risk, and ensure compliance with U.S. laws and company policies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Logistics, Operations, HR, and affiliate teams to support U.S. transactions.
• Research unique legal issues such as mechanic’s liens, UCC, construction statutes, and dispute resolution, and monitor relevant legislative developments.
• Identify matters requiring outside counsel and manage those engagements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably within the renewable energy or technology sector.
• Proven ability to handle complex, high‑value transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical and research skills with a focus on risk mitigation.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• In‑depth knowledge of U.S. statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to transactions.
• Ability to manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
