Senior Thermal Modeling Analyst

About the role

Radiant is a startup developing portable nuclear microreactors. The Senior Thermal Modeling Analyst will lead CFD and thermal FEA simulations for the Kaleidos 1‑MW microreactor, ensuring high‑fidelity performance and safety across reactor and cooling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute thermal CFD analyses for reactor system design and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement models for turbulent flow, heat transfer, and multi‑physics interactions.
• Identify and apply best practices for CFD simulations, improving accuracy and efficiency.
• Build automated workflows to expand simulation capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support reduced‑order analysis methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in CFD/thermal modeling.
• Proven experience with commercial CFD tools such as STAR‑CCM+ or ANSYS Fluent.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
• Strong understanding of finite element and computational fluid dynamics principles.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
