About the role
Moog is seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Equipment Project Engineer to lead the global test equipment strategy, sustainment, and performance improvement initiatives across its aerospace operations. This hybrid position in Buffalo, NY, will ensure the reliability, capability, and lifecycle management of test equipment supporting Original Equipment, Aftermarket, and Aircraft Control Components business units.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve test equipment replacement and upgrade strategies for OE and Aftermarket units.
- Establish long‑term technology roadmaps addressing obsolescence, maintainability, and evolving product requirements.
- Define standards, governance, and best practices for test equipment across all Moog sites worldwide.
- Generate and execute an Aftermarket Partnerships / Customer R&O / Supply Chain OEM Test Equipment Support Strategy.
- Collaborate with customers, repair facilities, and supply‑chain partners to align on equipment capability and support.
- Partner with sustainment and operations teams to analyze test equipment issues, lead root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Work with design and sustainment teams to implement equipment design improvements and upgrades.
- Define and track key performance metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and uptime, and develop improvement plans.
- Provide technical oversight for Moog‑owned test equipment located at supplier facilities, ensuring compliance with Moog standards.
Required profile
- Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in test equipment engineering and project leadership.
- Proven ability to drive global strategy and manage lifecycle of complex aerospace test systems.
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, operations, supply chain, and global sites.
