Senior Test Engineer, Mechanical/Fluids

About the role

Radiant Industries is developing the world’s first mass‑produced portable nuclear microreactors. The Senior Test Engineer, Mechanical/Fluids will lead mission‑critical test operations for the Kaleidos reactor, turning complex hardware and software designs into safe, repeatable test procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Test Conductor/Test Director, executing test procedures and ensuring alignment with real‑world execution.
• Partner with design engineers to create innovative test methods for complex mechanisms and structures.
• Support development, qualification, and acceptance testing of fluid, electrical, and structural hardware for the Kaleidos reactor.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for component sourcing and fabrication.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for test processes and data quality.
• Lead one‑off test campaigns in a fast‑paced, minimum‑requirements environment to reduce hardware risk.
• Maintain compliance with DOE and NRC standards, ensuring procedural documentation is clear and usable.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in test engineering for mechanical and fluid systems.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and analyze complex test campaigns.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑moving production environment.
• Familiarity with DOE and NRC regulatory requirements.
