Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Moog is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of test equipment for circuit card assemblies used in its Actuator Control Units. The role bridges Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering to ensure a smooth transition of electronic designs into production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test equipment, including hardware interfaces, wiring diagrams, rack documentation, power distribution, switch matrix, data acquisition, and integration of COTS test gear.
• Create transition plans for electronic designs moving into production and the supply chain.
• Lead test equipment and EIS issue‑resolution efforts to guarantee seamless design hand‑off.
• Participate in supplier training and define test equipment requirements for subcontractors.
• Transition test equipment into Moog factories or manufacturing partner sites.
• Provide specifications and guidance for test equipment developed by external partners.
• Update equipment and software to improve production efficiency and reduce test execution time.
• Lead cross‑site New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for engineering and test aspects.
• Drive technical problem‑solving for complex electronic assemblies, performing root‑cause analysis with Quality, Manufacturing, and Test teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately 10 years of experience with demonstrated exceptional technical skills.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware and software assemblies.
• Experience leading and coaching engineering teams.
