Senior Technical Engineering Leader – Guidewire Billing Center

About the role

MAPFRE is looking for a Senior Technical Engineering Leader to drive the architecture, design, development and modernization of its Guidewire BillingCenter platform and the broader billing ecosystem. The role is hybrid, based in the Boston area (Webster, MA) and will shape the future of insurance billing technology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Guidewire BillingCenter initiatives, including new capabilities, enhancements and integrations.
• Lead architecture and design discussions, establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Balance business priorities with scalability, security, maintainability and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Business Leaders and engineering teams to deliver enterprise‑scale billing solutions.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment and support of invoicing, payment processing, payment plans, fee management, collections and customer billing experiences.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading technical teams in complex, enterprise‑level software projects.
• Deep knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter and the insurance billing domain.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Proven track record of establishing architectural direction and engineering standards.
