About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its National Tax Services team in Washington DC. The role focuses on mergers and acquisitions, providing strategic tax advice, building client relationships, and mentoring junior staff while navigating complex global tax environments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex tax issues related to M&A transactions and deliver strategic insights.
• Design and implement tax‑efficient structures to optimize client positions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate tax and finance systems for improved reporting.
• Advise on domestic restructuring to ensure compliance and maximize benefits.
• Prepare and review consolidated tax returns for multiple affiliated entities.
• Lead post‑deal integration activities, aligning financial and operational aspects of merged companies.
• Mentor junior team members on tax strategies and compliance.
• Maintain and grow client relationships to anticipate tax needs.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or having completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
• Overall GPA of at least 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Commitment to meet educational requirements and pass the Bar exam before starting full‑time at PwC.
