Senior Tax Associate - Financial Services

About the Position

Join a multi-billion dollar financial services leader located in Middlesex County, NJ. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a pivotal role within our New Jersey-based tax team, working in close collaboration with Tax Managers and the Senior Vice President of Tax to support complex financial operations.

Main Missions

• Manage tax compliance, planning, and research for diverse entities in traditional energy, renewable energy, and private equity sectors.
• Prepare and review federal and state tax workpapers, including estimated tax payments and investor tax projections.
• Execute technical tax tasks such as tax basis maintenance, depreciation calculations, and E&P adjustments.
• Handle ASC 740 tax provisions and ensure accurate income tax reporting.
• Coordinate effectively with external tax advisory firms to ensure seamless compliance.
• Conduct in-depth technical research and draft professional memos to document complex tax positions.

• Proven experience in tax compliance and planning within the financial services or energy sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to handle complex technical tax issues.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with senior leadership and external partners.
