Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join Macy’s tax team in Springdale, OH. The role will lead tax compliance and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely filings across federal, state and local jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state and local income tax returns.
• Gather supporting documentation and file ERISA and other informational filings.
• Lead the information reporting process for Forms 1099 and 1042.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries.
• Participate in special projects, tax training, software training and corporate give‑back initiatives.
• Maintain consistent attendance and contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in tax, accounting or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal partners.
• Excellent research ability to stay current on tax laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using tax preparation software, preferably OneSource.
