Senior Systems Operations Specialist – Lead

About the role

The Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) team is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Specialist to lead the 24x7 operation of high‑value payment systems such as Fedwire, FedACH, and Check Services. This role combines technical oversight, incident management, and team leadership to ensure continuous, high‑availability service for Federal Reserve districts and other users.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 24x7 operation and administration of distributed payments systems supporting Fedwire, Wholesale Services, and Account Balance Services.
• Provide real‑time support for Check and ACH processing, monitoring application health across core and satellite platforms.
• Manage production incidents, coordinate escalation, and lead daily workflow for operational incidents and service disruptions.
• Coach, review, and guide team members, addressing complex problems and overseeing project work.
• Direct daily workflow, customer requests, and team responses in a leadership capacity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in high‑availability systems operations within a financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coach technical teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience handling complex operational incidents.
• Ability to work onsite according to a set schedule (Sunday‑Thursday, 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM ET).
