Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

DPG Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support mission‑focused aerospace and defense programs in Aurora, CO. The role requires end‑to‑end experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements development to verification and validation, and close technical coordination with software, test, integration, cyber, and program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities across the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture support, design elaboration, integration, test, verification, and validation.
• Decompose customer and mission requirements into clear system‑level and subsystem‑level specifications and maintain use cases, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate integration and test planning, ensuring traceability, verification, and validation of requirements across program baselines.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, cyber, and program leadership to resolve technical issues and drive program delivery.
• Apply Agile systems engineering practices such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical story development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience supporting aerospace, defense, intelligence, space, or mission‑critical programs.
• Active, transferable Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Proven ability to analyze technical problems from an end‑to‑end system perspective and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork.
