About the role
The Senior Sustainability Consultant leads a portfolio of client engagements focused on corporate and product impact inventories, target setting, and sustainability strategy implementation. The role serves as the primary client contact, translating sustainability challenges into actionable analytical work using Bureau Veritas and Aligned Incentives tools. It combines project leadership, technical analysis, and strategic advisory to help clients achieve their sustainability goals.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and project‑manage client engagements covering corporate and product impact inventories, target setting, tracking, and strategy implementation.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, maintaining regular communication and on‑site visits as needed.
- Perform analytical tasks such as data collection, processing, corporate inventory development, product footprinting, and report generation.
- Provide strategic advisory to help clients set, track, and achieve sustainability‑related targets.
- Support sales activities by delivering technical input, scoping work, drafting proposals, and developing pricing inputs.
Required profile
- Expert knowledge of major sustainability market drivers and reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISSB).
- Deep expertise in Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse‑gas accounting.
- Strong consulting skills, including client relationship management, project leadership, and problem solving.
- Experience developing corporate inventories, product footprints, target‑setting pathways, and financially driven sustainability strategies.
- Proven ability to model impact‑mitigation interventions and create marginal abatement cost curves.
Required skills
- Programming or analytical skills in R, Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Advanced business writing and presentation abilities for technical documents and client‑facing slide decks.
- Strong data collection, survey design, analysis, reporting, and quality‑assurance capabilities.
- Familiarity with life‑cycle assessment, renewable‑energy markets, and third‑party assurance processes (preferred).
