Senior Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Surveyor leads the operation of survey and positioning equipment in offshore environments, ensuring safe and efficient performance while maintaining and repairing electronic sensors. This position is based offshore in the Gulf of Mexico with travel to other global locations as required.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, install, calibrate and maintain surface and subsea sensors for real‑time vessel and ROV positioning.
• Operate cameras (video and still), acoustic positioning systems, sonars, subsea tooling and surface positioning systems.
• Collect, analyze and manage survey data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventory and perform routine equipment repairs.
• Lead and train team members on equipment use and safety procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5–8 years of experience in the survey or geoscience industry as a Survey Professional.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card and a valid passport for offshore work.
