Senior Stress Analyst – Structural Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Senior Structural Analysis Engineer performs advanced stress and structural analyses for aerospace flight hardware and oil‑field components, ensuring safety and reliability in harsh environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform classical and finite‑element analyses (linear/non‑linear statics, modal, frequency response, random response, explicit and implicit transient) on flight hardware, oil‑field components and related systems.
• Calculate structural integrity for failure modes such as static, fatigue, fracture, buckling, stability and creep, including welds and fasteners.
• Support project managers and integrated product teams with proposals, change requests, design reviews and documentation.
• Prepare presentations, interim reports and formal design‑approval documentation for customers.
• Develop fracture‑control assessments and fatigue‑life analyses for flight hardware.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil engineering or equivalent.
• 10‑15 years of direct experience in structural analysis of aerospace or oil‑field hardware.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Commercial CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Finite‑element packages: FEMAP, LS‑DYNA, NASTRAN, NASGRO, ANSYS, Mathcad.
• Scripting/automation using VBA and Python.
• Knowledge of NASA, AIAA, API, ASME, DNV standards.
