Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst

About the role

Box is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst to join its Strategic Sourcing team in the Bay Area. The analyst will work closely with the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, providing data‑driven insights across indirect spend categories such as Marketing, Real Estate, HR, and Travel.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager to support sourcing activities, vendor engagements, contract execution, and procurement workflows.
• Assist stakeholders by delivering guidance on procurement tools, data insights, and sourcing best practices under supervision.
• Build and maintain Excel‑based analyses, including spend reports, cost comparisons, savings trackers, TCO models, and vendor pricing reviews.
• Analyze travel and procurement spend to identify trends, cost drivers, savings opportunities, and process improvements.
• Support end‑to‑end procurement processes, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, with the goal of independently managing projects over time.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, review pricing, and support purchasing decisions.
• Provide prompt, high‑quality internal customer service to internal partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to support strategic sourcing activities and vendor management.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience turning data into actionable insights.
• Comfort working under guidance while progressively taking ownership of smaller sourcing projects.
• Excellent internal customer service orientation.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
