Senior Software Engineer – RPPS Platform

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the RPPS (Remote Payment and Presentment System) platform team within the Transfer Solutions organization. The role focuses on building and maintaining modern, full‑stack applications that power payment processing across Mastercard’s ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications supporting payment processing platforms.
• Build full‑stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions that enhance scalability, maintainability, and resilience.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for enterprise‑scale transaction processing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and solution reviews.

Required profile

• Experienced full‑stack engineer with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven ability to design and deliver modern web applications using Angular.
• Passion for engineering excellence, technical leadership, and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle, from design to production support.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
