Senior Software Engineer - ML Training Pipelines

About the role

The Axion Data team at Applied Intuition is building a data engine that trains perception models for edge‑deployed systems. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own both the edge application that runs perception stacks and the cloud pipeline that ingests video data, processes it, and feeds the next model iteration back to the edge.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance data pipelines that execute ML models on edge devices and in the cloud.
• Evolve the data‑engine architecture to scale high‑fidelity labeling, cut annotation costs, and accelerate ML iteration cycles.
• Integrate foundation models such as large language models, vision‑language models, and multimodal models to automate labeling, quality assurance, and data discovery.
• Develop and maintain software‑in‑the‑loop and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with DoD customers to understand use cases, gather requirements, and provide on‑site support during field events.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in MLOps or related fields.
• Hands‑on experience with modern ML infrastructure and data‑centric AI approaches.
• Proven ability to run large‑scale GPU jobs and build microservices or database‑backed data applications.
