Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its B&MI Technology team. You will work on enterprise‑grade applications using a Java back‑end and modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular or React, helping to deliver secure, high‑performance payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications using the Java tech stack and Angular/React front‑end technologies.
• Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure software designs align with Mastercard’s Enterprise Architecture and leverage enterprise services.
• Follow Mastercard’s standard development methodologies, document all work, and maintain high code quality.
• Design systems to achieve zero downtime in production.
• Collaborate with business partners on product definition, roadmaps, and business case development.
• Address operational and business concerns for ongoing programs and enhancements.
• Support compliance and certification requirements such as PCI, GLBA, and Safe Harbor.
• Perform performance engineering for the enterprise software architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer building large‑scale Java applications.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and service‑oriented design.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional business partners and technical teams.
• Experience ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI, GLBA).
