Senior Software Engineer – Internally Deployed Products

About the role

ClickUp is building an AI‑native workspace that unifies tasks, docs, chat, calendar and enterprise search. The Foundry team creates internal AI‑first products that accelerate go‑to‑market functions, and this senior engineer will own the delivery of the MCP server platform, agent orchestration layer and related tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate Model Context Protocol (MCP) server platform exposing CRM, ticketing and analytics data to AI agents.
• Implement secure authentication (Okta PKCE, RBAC) and maintain deployment infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, Bedrock, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway) and GCP where needed.
• Develop and manage multi‑step autonomous agents that automate GTM workflows such as lead qualification, deal‑room assembly and support triage.
• Deliver full‑stack internal tools using TypeScript/Node.js back‑ends and React/Next.js front‑ends, and write Python automation scripts and ETL pipelines.
• Integrate with LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock), define prompt‑engineering frameworks and ensure observability through logging, tracing and on‑call runbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js, and strong Python programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience deploying services on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch).
• Proven experience integrating with LLM APIs and shipping AI‑powered features to users.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, OAuth 2.0/OIDC and secure credential management.
