Senior Software Engineer – Integrations Lead

About the role

Cobalt AI is building a hybrid AI platform that secures workplaces by monitoring cameras, alarms, and robots in real time. As the Integrations Lead, you will own the integration services that connect our platform to enterprise security ecosystems, shaping the future integration strategy and migration to Rust.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of the integration service lifecycle, including reliability, roadmap execution, and long‑term technical vision.
• Architect, maintain, and migrate the asynchronous integration service from Python to Rust, interfacing with client systems via REST, MQTT, and SignalR.
• Expand integration capabilities with new connectors and webhook handlers for large‑scale event ingestion.
• Develop outbound layers to orchestrate automated responses such as lockdowns and security escalations.
• Monitor system health with alerting, retry logic, and graceful degradation, and lead incident response for integration‑specific issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on integrations, platform work, or API development.
• Proven ability to take ownership of a service and improve its reliability over time.
• Strong debugging skills across third‑party APIs, vendor platforms, and on‑premise hardware.
