Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of Nectar Social’s production platform. As one of the first dedicated SREs, you will shape how we measure, operate, and harden our infrastructure while supporting high‑volume data ingestion and real‑time AI workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Own reliability and scalability of production systems handling rapidly growing social data and AI workloads.
• Define and drive SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and build observability, alerting, and on‑call practices.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and implement systemic improvements.
• Improve performance, cost efficiency, and capacity planning across cloud infrastructure.
• Harden infrastructure‑as‑code, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines for resilience.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability into system design.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience operating production systems as an SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineer.
• Proven ability to scale databases, data infrastructure, or complex platforms under significant load.
• Hands‑on expertise with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and IaC tooling.
• Strong programming skills for building automation and operational services.
• Comfortable in fast‑moving startup environments with high ownership.
