Senior Software Engineer – GUI

About the role

Johnson & Johnson, through its Auris Health subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of safety‑critical graphical user interfaces for the Ottava Robotic System. The role combines advanced C++/Qt programming with close collaboration across design, clinical, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high‑quality C++ and QML code for multithreaded Qt applications.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of major GUI components from storyboards and wireframes.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with medical device standards.
• Collaborate with designers, clinicians, product managers, and other engineering groups to deliver intuitive user experiences.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in GUI‑focused software engineering, preferably in medical devices.
• Proven ability to work in a Linux environment and manage project priorities.
