Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join Pano AI’s product and engineering team in San Francisco. You will help build and scale the AI‑driven platform that detects wildfires in real time, turning data from ultra‑high‑definition cameras, satellite imagery and IoT sensors into actionable intelligence for emergency responders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack services that ingest, process and visualise large volumes of geospatial and sensor data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, hardware engineers and product managers to deliver end‑to‑end features that improve detection speed and accuracy.
• Implement robust APIs and user‑facing dashboards that enable fire agencies, utilities and insurers to monitor wildfire activity.
• Ensure high performance, scalability and security of the platform in a cloud environment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous‑integration pipelines to uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on full‑stack development.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for leveraging technology to address climate‑related challenges.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development experience (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, Go).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and real‑time data streaming.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and geospatial data handling.
