Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the InsurQuote team, building a modern web portal that streamlines insurance quote data processing. The role spans full‑stack development, delivering intuitive front‑end experiences and robust back‑end services. You will collaborate with product, design and engineering to ensure performance, accessibility and maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible UI using React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, including multi‑step upload workflow with drag‑and‑drop, validation and progress tracking.
• Build and maintain a shared component library aligned with brand design tokens.
• Integrate front‑end components with GraphQL APIs for data queries and mutations.
• Design and implement GraphQL schemas and resolvers in Java Spring for authentication, file uploads, job tracking and results retrieval.
• Integrate with backend processing services via webhooks or polling, handling retries, idempotency and structured error handling.
• Ensure secure authentication and authorization using OAuth/JWT and role‑based access.
• Implement automated testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce documentation for system setup, operations and component usage, and support observability through logging and metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5‑6 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in React and TypeScript, including state management (e.g., React Query).
• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and building reusable design‑system components.
• Hands‑on experience developing backend services with Java, Spring and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) and role‑based access control.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD processes.
