Senior Software Engineer – Decision Management Program

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Decision Management Program (DMP). In this role you will design, develop, test, and maintain complex software solutions that power intelligent decision‑making across the global payments journey.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end software delivery tasks, including code development, testing, deployment, release, configuration and documentation for specific components.
• Troubleshoot, refactor, and improve existing code to ensure exceptional quality and performance.
• Adopt new programming languages and architectural patterns as required by the product roadmap.
• Participate actively in the team’s agile process, contribute to backlog prioritisation, and deliver committed work items.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an individual contributor delivering high‑impact software at a senior level.
• Strong autonomy with the ability to operate across the full software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, raise the technical bar, and share knowledge.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for non‑trivial, complex challenges.
