Senior Software Engineer (Controls)

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional and innovative Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role focuses on advanced control algorithms, modeling, simulation, and integration of machine learning to enhance autonomous navigation and flight performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test advanced flight control algorithms for UAV stability and maneuverability.
• Create and maintain dynamic flight models and run simulations to validate control strategies.
• Integrate path planning and autonomous navigation, including obstacle avoidance.
• Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to improve flight control and dynamic models.
• Develop optimized, compute‑constrained code for embedded systems with real‑time performance.
• Conduct Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop testing and flight testing to validate system performance.
• Analyze flight data to troubleshoot issues, optimize parameters, and continuously improve performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver reliable drone solutions.

Required profile

• PhD with 2+ years or Masters with 5‑8+ years of hands‑on experience in control system design, modeling, and simulation.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and real‑time operating systems.
